Spiroll Hollowcore Slab
SEPSA´s Ultra-Span/Spiroll hollow core slabs are used for commercial, industrial and residential buildings floor slabs.
Its name comes from the continuous longitudinal holes that run along the slab due to the production process. These voids reduce weight and cost, and give to the slab better acoustical and thermal properties than those given for solid concrete slab. Through the holes, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and sanitary ducts can be located.
Hollow-core elements are also used as horizontal or vertical wall panels for industrial and warehousing projects.
Hollow core slabs are produced on long prestressing beds using a dry mix concrete 5000 psi or higher, extruded by a machine along the bed. Actually SEPSA can offer 4 3/4, 5 7/8, 7 7/8, 9 7/8, and 11 3/4 mm deep by 47 1/4 mm wide panels.
